Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons as a tight-end in the National Football League. On March 15, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons to a two-year, 14 million-dollar contract despite the fact that he had said Gonzalez would retire following the 2013 season. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez, who was 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his playing career as the NFL leader for receiving yards.
