Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons as a tight-end in the National Football League. He is one of the NFL's most successful tight ends and the third best overall receiver, he's been ranked as the NFL's most effective tight end, in terms of receiving yards, receptions achieved, and so on.
A former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez, who has been with FOX NFL KICKOFF for this past season, serves as the show's host. It airs every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET, before FOX NFL SUNDAY.
On March 15, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons to a two-year, 14 million-dollar contract despite the fact that he had said Gonzalez would retire following the 2013 season. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez, who was 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his playing career as the NFL leader for receiving yards.
